Well hello there!

How I've missed you all. Life is incredible. Ya never know what's in store. And that's exactly whats been happening to me. I'm currently working on some incredible things, that I simply cannot share right now. So please stay tuned...

But what I can share, is this crazy-ass video of a woman (hopefully who's drunk or high, lets hope; otherwise she's simply koo-koo), using her heels to beat the $hit out of an ATM machine! Why? Beats me (pun intended, LOL)!

Ok, some Doctor said that ALL heels are bad-whatever! I personally feel like life is waaayyy too short to worry about a pair of heels and the damage to a few muskcoals {smile}. They (so-called professionals & experts), say the same thing about alcohol, coffee, too much sex (UTI's), too much smiling (wrinkles), and on and on and on...

High Heel Shoe Diaries: vol.1, story 1

Welcome Gurls, to the dairies of (usually) love gone wrong. This is where I will reflect on a love story that ends with revenge or redemption! I got my idea from a song titled: High Heel Shoes, by Melky Sedeck-which you can hear on our home page @ msheel.com

In the song, the chorus is: "...I'm a girl in these high heel shoes...and one of these days, these shoes are gonna walk all over you..!"

Today's story: LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian & and his soon to be ex-wife.

Uh, excuse me, why did Eddie have to file for divorce? Why did his disgraced wife, who is openly being cheated on and suffering publicly no less, not run her ass down to L.A. County Courthouse and dismiss him-quick, fast and in a hurry! What was she waiting on? As sad as it is, rejection is the greatest aphrodisiac. She still wants his sorry ass! My advice for his wife: STOP talking to US Weekly and START talking to an attorney!

Weekend Guide: What NOT to do!

TGIF!!! I have a really fun-packed weekend ahead. A luau to attend, a big hat brunch and some gardening to do. Yeah, I like (actually love) to plant colorful flowers-everywhere! It's my little slice of heaven, that I get to enjoy every morning and night when sitting on my patio.



But first, I will go to happy hour; which will probably go well into the night. As you have probably guessed, I'll be dressed fabulously and of course be rockin' some kiss-ass heels. But here's a word to the wise, DO NOT DRIVE AND WEAR HEELS! Why? First, because it ruins the back of the shoe. Secondly it could cause this:

About two days ago, a woman in Yuma, Arizona, told authorities that wearing heels was the cause of her car barreling into a gas station! Uh, note to self-REMOVE HEELS WHEN DRIVING! Even celebrities have admitted to this happening. Back in 2007, Brooke Shields told police that the same thing happened to her; only she ran her car into her own house! I question this story just a tad. Cue Jamie Foxxs' song: "Blame it on da alcohol-blame it on the goose...! I'm not buying this one Brooke. And a beautiful former model in Germany lived the same fate, actually fatally injuring someone-all because of heels!

So Ms. Heel, no matter what you do this last weekend in May, this is what NOT TO DO!

p.s. and of course no drinking while driving-prison fashion looks awful with heels!

Are You Scared of Height?

Good Morning Girls,

No, that isn't a typo in title of today's blog (glad to see some of you have had your Wheaties or coffee this morning), instead it's the question of the day. Are you scared to wear heels with your man, if already your height is equal to his and by wearing heels will make you taller than him?

Well Kimora isn't (or wasn't-divorced now from Russell) and neither should you!

(Your) God blessed you with a gorgeous pair of long-ass legs and does God ever make mistakes? No he doesn't...so go ahead, bask and glow in that higher altitude, love your height challenged man, let him wear the pants and you wear the heels!!!

Man-a-Cures, Guyliner & Himheels, O'My!

Forget girls gone wild (that's sooo 2008); because now, not only have guys gone wild-but they've gone STYLED!

Just when I was getting used to the term (and idea of) Metrosexual, along comes Adam Lambert (pictured); American Idol runner-up and shameless, proud user of eyeliner, aka, guyliner; colored nails with his weekly man-a-cures; and girls, please give Adam a warm welcome as our newest member- it's a pleasure, Ms (Mr?) Heel!

Help-I'm confused (or maybe they are)! Seal, Tommy Lee, Dennis Rodman and Dave Navarro all heterosexual (I guess), wear nail polish. Prince's ex Mayte said, that Prince has more heels than her-probably more than most women. And the number of rockers wearing eyeliner and mascara is growing daily. Well to each his own- eyeliner (that whole pinkeye thang)! I like my men rough around the edges with blue-collar working hands, big-ass feet (wink, wink) in flats and the only time I want to see make-up on him, is after a crazy, passionate night of lovemaking and my lipstick, foundation, mascara and eyeliner is all over him-because I was!

I guess I'm old school or hell... maybe just old. Because this new modern man is not for me. Sharing make-up, the mirror and manicures is NOT happening in my house. The only thing I want to share with my man is: a good cocktail, a checking account and a queen size bed-O my!

Border's Bookstore Burka Babe?

Ok, so yesterday I spent a little time by myself in Border's bookstore. In comes a woman, dressed head to toe in an all black burka. It's 80 degrees outside, so of course she got stares and it's a burka for God's sake! Nothing visible except her eyes and shoes. And guess what kind of shoes she was wearing? Hint: the name of this blog? That's right girls-HEELS! Now is it just me, or is this a serious oxymoron? Heels represent sexiness, freedom of expression (something her culture obviously frowns upon, hence the grim reaper look) and are the epitome of womanhood. Mixed message martini anyone?

Well it got me to thinking. I so love other cultures, traveling to far away places and God (the one I worship), knows that I would never tell someone who or what to believe in. So after sitting there a little befuddled, in comes her plainly dressed husband; who seemed to really adore his wife! Was I missing the bigger picture? Did he so revere his wife, that he didn't want any other eyes to see what he gets to hit? And maybe underneath that burka, is a woman fully aware and in charge of her sexuality, with a kick-ass body to match! Could she be wearing revealing sexy lingerie like Lil Kim is in the pic featured? (Yeah, I was shocked too that it was Lil' ole Kim. Weird, when she covers half her face, her otherwise dreadful nips and tucks don't seem so bad.) Or maybe underneath her burka, is a woman who bears the scares of pregnancy (stretchmarks and newly elongated breasts)? You don't have to wear a burka to cover those trademarks of birth-trust me. Plenty of women around the world do this on a daily basis-we just choose to hide them underneath a t-shirt and jeans.

I finally concluded, we all cover ourselves in some fashion. Whether it's by wearing burkas, baggy clothes, extra fat, make-up or wigs. And if we really wanted to get deep, going past the epidermis level of our skins, aren't we all covering up hurt feelings, past pains, insecurities and saddest of all- sometimes who we really are? I can no longer judge the woman wearing the burka, than I can the woman who has her cleavage on display. Who's to say, maybe the woman wearing the burka is a bigger freak than the woman with her breasts hanging out! But as I continued to ponder, burka lady's husband comes back (yeah he had left), with coffee for his wife. Burkas or a damn bikini with heels, the way he just looked at her (ah, the revelry and chivalry), what any girl needs, is a an amazing pair of heels to wear at anytime with any outfit and a Paul Revere all the time!

This is one of Marilyn Monroe's most famous quotes. And she oughta know; she was by far the world's most legendary and infamous sex symbol EVER-even posthumous! But have you ever stopped and really pondered what the world would be like without the heel?

I have and it scares the bejeeba's out of me! Seriously folks, perish the thought...please!

• How do you dress up without a heel?
• What if you're height challenged and wanna be taller? This is a question for both women and men-yes men, (think Prince or the artist who wishes he was at least 5'8).
• How do you have a "Gentleman's Ballet," without a 6 inch Lucite stiletto?
• Do you throw on a pair of crocs for a hot date or when I...uh, I mean you, want to be a 'private dancer' for your man-NOT!
• And really, what would Sex & the City be, without Carrie's passionate shoe fetish?

There is just something really special and intangible about a heel. Heels stimulate our visual sensors; arouses deep desires in others and makes the wearer feel sexier. We strut instead of walk. We hold our heads higher, thereby sticking out our boobies and booties in the process. Heels increase one's sex appeal quotient-sending it immeasurably off the charts. As a girl that is totally boy-crazy, even I get a (non-sexual) thrill when I see a woman with her shit together, dressed to the nines (in heels of course)!

So yeah Marilyn, I totally agree with you. I only hope that I am carrying the love and vision on for whomever created the heel, I am soooo grateful...as I'm sure Prince is too!
