Hello Ladies,Oh how I'm enjoying this pic of the Simmon sisters and their friends. Seems to me they're out on the town, all dressed up and having a ball (if only the rain would stop).
Is it a coincidence that the color scheme is all black & white? Was this an accident or planned? You know you're in your 20's when you dictate what color to wear. Or part of a charitable group or organization.
Either way, I'll let you in on something. I'M JEALOUS! I miss having good GROWN girlfriends! For whatever reason, I don't have close friends. And for the record, I'm not a Man-eater (eating up all my girl's men); nor am I a jealous-hearted person ( I love to bring sand to the beach)! But what I am, is an honest, trustworthy, be-there-for-you-all-times-of the day-friend and I ALWAYS leave my house with my shit together! And believe it or not, that last reason is what keeps a lot of women at bay. Why? Because being around me, either makes you step up your game or dig your heels (more like Crocs) in, to protest my glamorous ways! Sadly, I can type this with a straight face, show you examples by calling these girls out...but I won't.
I really do miss women.
I recently tried the "friends" thing with several men and that theory is a complete joke! I was their friend; but secretly I was their dream girl and they decided to use the back door approach. Meaning, they were just biding time (by pretending to be my friend) to sleep with me, ugh!
So yeah, I'm a little sad. Because there's nothing like putting on a pot of bourbon when someone needs to vent about her latest break-up. Or shopping-my God I miss shopping with a good friend and scoring bargains together! Followed by a good dinner or lunch. But what tops the list, is getting dressed together before you hit the town and the tag team action of taming the male species. Yep, I truly miss that the most; having someone who has your back and will be the rational head, when some dude from outta nowhere, totally slaps blinders on you! :)
Ok enough with my sad story. I encourage you all to call your good girlfriend right now and tell her how much you appreciate her being in your life. Please treasure it. Because if you don't, I PROMISE you, you will miss it, when it's gone.
Good girlfriends Ms. Heel are like good men, they are hard to find. However, I love your admission of missing the camaraderie of friends. Few women will admit to wanting a BFF, as few will admit to wanting a man.

I so agree with this! I have one good girlfriend that lives near enough to shop, hang, dress up and commiserate. We both love heels and hate CROCS! Of all the horrible footwear.....But I only found her 2 yrs ago, fortunately we are thick as thieves! But I feel what you are saying. For a long time my only good grown girlfriend has been in AZ. We are still besties but now I have a local one too. Keep being you and you will find your fashion sister. I did. :)
