TEAM Fakes vs TEAM Copies!

Good Day All,

Lately I've been getting a lot of feedback about the heels we carry. And like any story-there are 2 sides and then there's the truth! The truth in this case is not necessarily the truth-but the neutral merging of both sides (can't we all just get along?). On one side, (working) girls are ecstatic about being able to wear heels that are obvious knock-offs, copies, "inspired by's" of a really expensive heel. Flip that and you have those that are seriously pissed off that their favorite designer is being worn by those, that didn't pony up some of that "old money" or newly earned, McMansion dwelling,"new money" like they did! Women are seriously divided on this issue. Just as they've picked sides in the Team Aniston vs Team Joli drama, emotions are running high (sometimes nasty) and there's no shortage of opinions!

If I may, I will review both sides:

For TEAM Fakes: I will not (personally) buy or sell fake heels! I despise fake people, fake (monogamous) men (but that's a whole other story, told over adult beverages) and especially fake frozen drinks, that claim to be made with lots of alcohol! But I do love me some fake hair, fake meat (Boca Crumbles anyone?) and fake (false) eyelashes. But when it comes to buying fake Christian Louboutin heels for my site, in the words of Whitney Houston, "Hell to the no!" I get lots of requests asking for a certain fake Louboutin heel. But as someone who used to design clothing and who has had their design integrity stolen, I cannot of good conscious, support the thievery of Mr. Louboutin's designs! There are hundreds of sites, actually using his name, claiming to sell authentic Louboutin heels. Nowadays, the new status symbol is that little red bottom, to go along with a little red, convertible, foreign sports car. But I refuse to support Team Fakes. It's way too easy to hike over to a big outlet of one of the designer department stores and get your hunt on for Red (bottom) October, at a dramatically reduced price.

For Team Copies: Now for those that can't afford the real deal designer heel, instead of buying a fake heel, buy yourself a less expensive, knock-off. Truth be told, most of the heels being made today, take their design cues from top designers. Just as they do with lower priced lines in clothing. Target and H & M have literally, re-branded themsleves with this modus operandi. But what is it about knock-off heels, that can be the proverbial Achilles Heel for some people? I've met women, who refuse to wear shoes that costs less than $100. They automatically assume, that a cheap price is synonymous with a cheap looking heel, i.e., unsteady construction, (god forbid) man made materials and gives a whole new meaning to the term, killa heels! Then there are those, that want to be fab so badly, that they're willing to spend more on a pair of Christian Louboutins (that they don't pronounce correctly), than they do in a month for their rent! Instead of, can you say Louboutin in French; can you say crazy in English? I mix the high with the low everyday and I love it! I'll carry my real Chanel bag (with money inside to still pay my bills) along with a pair of Jessica Simpson heels and a dress from Rainbow!

But because we live in a celebrity driven culture and girls are desperately trying to emulate their favorite celebs, know this, celebs rarely pay for all the designer garb they wear. It's given to them! Instead of copying their wardrobes, copy their money making skills and figure out what it is you need to do (lately the trend has been absolutely nothing), to get French designers to give you free heels as well!

Still undecided? I'm not-Brangelina all the way! :)
