It's Monday...let's do this!
Last Friday, while rushing to mail some late, last minute packages, I decided to take them to the Post Office myself, since I was headed that way for my Friday night date with my son. As soon as I stepped inside the Post Office, I had about 3 "glam" (you know in that Post Office, oh so hip & fashionable way, complete with 80's Salt N Pepa hairstyles and major attitude) employees, telling me how bad my 5 inch heels were for my feet, legs, knees and back. Hell whats next? That eventually heels would give me a STD-THE NERVE!
I laughed it off and strutted my ass right outta there-without any sassy comeback. Oh don't get it twisted, I can give it, as good as I get it! But do I really need one of them going postal on me and my son? No I do not...but it did cause me to think, why are other women, always sooo concerned, about the next girl's knees and legs? With all the problems in the world, can my knees and the possibility of me getting varicose veins and bunions, really make for interesting, highly debatable and mind-blowing conversation? Uh, no! So why do women do this to other women...all the time? If you have the answer, please let me know!
But first, I must finish this story. As my son and I are about to pull off, guess who decided to take a quick cigarette break? Yep, one of the Postal employees. How insidious, that she's worried about my knees and yet she's smoking something that has a warning label on it from the Surgeon General of the United States! The last I checked lady, heels don't cause cancer!!
And still I remained mum...
Besides, we all know how smokers DESPISE it, when you reprimand them about the dangers of smoking! Forget Flats versus the Heels, it could've turned into the Bloods versus the Crips! Which by the way is kinda ironic. The Crips could really be another name for those that wear heels (since they predict, we'll be crippled one day). And the Bloods are the Flats. Because their blood will continue to flow freely-less chance of developing those nasty spider and varicose veins!
Go figure...
Yeah it's Monday, but this (day) too, shall pass. Thanks for stopping by!
