Good Afternoon (already?)
Sorry for the late post today. Me and my beautiful friend did happy hour last night. I decided to kick it old school and do classic martini's. That's vodka and vermouth-nothin' else. Fast forward to this late post.
Anyway...
I absolutely adore reuniting with good, grown-ass women (who have their shit together-in every area) and catching up on our respective lives. That's exactly what I did last night. And it looks as if Kelly Rowland and Letoya Luckett pictured above, both former members of Destiny's Child, did the same thing. I was really surprised, since Letoya was kicked out of the group years ago and it wasn't pretty. But I guess since Kelly fired Matthew, took the blinders off and got a grip about who really had her back, she can now relate to Letoya and her pain.
I for one, am happy for these two. True-blue gal pals are hard to come by. Trust and believe, I know this first hand! If you have just one friend-consider yourself damn lucky! I'm done with trying to have a BFF. I just want relationships with men and women that is chock full of RESPECT! Love and like will ebb and flow in all your relationships. But respect, at the end of the day, always remains.
So how bout it? Go call up a friend and tell him/her that you really respect them! And while you're at it, throw on a fab outfit (with heels of course) and grab some classic martini's together. Kick it old school with a real conversation (none of that texting crap) and reunite...it'll feel really good!
Now that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Grown folks with grown conversations and lives who are enjoying life, family and friends! Always a pleasure to catchup with friends - new and old - so take Ms. Heel's advise and make that call, throw on "the" outfit and a pair of Ms. Heels and get your groove back ;o)
